\u017dabljak sits at an altitude of 1,495 meters above sea level<\/strong>, making it the highest town in Montenegro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be honest, there are no real landmarks in \u017dabljak itself<\/strong>. You can explore the entire town in just 15 minutes<\/strong>. As mentioned earlier, \u017dabljak was rebuilt from scratch after World War II<\/strong>, so there\u2019s little historical heritage. Aside from three small churches<\/strong> and the large sign spelling out the town’s name<\/strong> in the main square, there\u2019s not much to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But tourists don\u2019t come here for the town itself\u2014they come for what surrounds it<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705 Durmitor National Park<\/strong> \u2013 Just 2.5 km from town<\/strong>, easily reachable on foot, home to the stunning Black Lake<\/strong>.
\u2705 25 hiking trails<\/strong> in the mountains around \u017dabljak.
\u2705 Savin Kuk<\/strong> \u2013 Montenegro\u2019s largest ski resort<\/strong>, just 5 km away<\/strong>.
\u2705 Tara River Canyon<\/strong> \u2013 One of the deepest canyons in the world<\/strong> (locals claim it’s the second deepest).
\u2705 \u0110ur\u0111evi\u0107a Tara Bridge<\/strong> \u2013 A masterpiece of engineering<\/strong>, this functional arch bridge<\/strong> spans the canyon, 22 km from town<\/strong>.
\u2705 Bobotov Kuk (2,522 m)<\/strong> \u2013 The highest peak in Montenegro<\/strong>. The hiking trail starts in Durmitor National Park<\/strong>, with many hikers beginning right from \u017dabljak\u2019s bus station<\/strong>.
