Unlike the others, it is the closest to the country\u2019s popular coastal resorts. From both Kotor and Budva, it\u2019s only about 30 km to the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The park is named after Mount Lov\u0107en, where it is located. The road from the gate to the peak is about 3 km uphill.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Parking:<\/strong> \u20ac1 per hour near the gate for cars, though parking at the mountain summit is free. However, the summit parking area is very small, and spaces often fill up quickly, leading visitors to park along the roadside below the peak.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mausoleum Entry and Jezerki Vrh Observation Deck:<\/strong> \u20ac8 per person.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/travel-4-fun.com\/montenegro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/10\/lovcen-1-min.jpg\" alt=\"price Lovcen park\" class=\"wp-image-1280\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The mausoleum entrance fee used to be 5 euros, but it\u2019s now 8 euros, with students and schoolchildren paying half.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<div class=\"epcl-shortcode epcl-box information\"><i class=\"epcl-icon fa fa-eye\"><\/i>Is it worth it? My personal opinion is no. I&#8217;ll explain why further below.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Good to know:<\/p>\n<cite>Montenegro has a tendency to charge entrance fees for virtually every attraction\u2014whether it\u2019s part of an ancient wall or &#8220;the oldest olive tree in the region.&#8221; A ticket booth is usually in place, collecting \u20ac1-2 from every visitor. In neighboring Albania or Serbia, most similar attractions are free of charge.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>How to Get to Lov\u0107en National Park<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There aren\u2019t many options for getting to the park:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>By Car<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By Taxi<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>As Part of a Tour<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Via Cable Car<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"epcl-shortcode epcl-box information\"><i class=\"epcl-icon fa fa-eye\"><\/i>There\u2019s no public transport directly to Lov\u0107en National Park. The only option is to take a bus to Cetinje and then hire a taxi for around \u20ac30-40. At that price, renting a car for the day is usually a better and more flexible option.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Public transport in Montenegro is both present and absent. You can technically reach almost any town by bus, even small ones, though often with transfers. Both routes wind through a mountain serpentine with good asphalt and numerous observation points. One route offers stunning views of the Bay of Kotor, while the other overlooks Budva and Be\u010di\u0107i. It\u2019s important to preserve and pass on to future generations. But is it particularly interesting for the average tourist? In my opinion, not really. I didn\u2019t find anything extraordinary here, and it feels like they try to charge you at every possible turn.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re planning a trip to Montenegro, here are some tips about visiting Lov\u0107en Park:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you\u2019re staying exclusively along the coast and don\u2019t plan to venture inland, then Lov\u0107en Park is great for a <strong>one-day excursion<\/strong>, especially if you don\u2019t have a car.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you plan to explore the <strong>Prokletije Mountains<\/strong> or see the <strong>\u0110ur\u0111evi\u0107a Tara Bridge<\/strong> in Durmitor National Park, both of which are 10 times more impressive than Lov\u0107en, then you can easily skip this park without missing much.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t forget that the peaks of Lov\u0107en Park reach about <strong>1,700 meters<\/strong> above sea level. It\u2019s usually <strong>10 to 15 degrees cooler<\/strong> here than on the coast, and it can get quite windy.
