Let\u2019s start with the correct spelling of the city\u2019s name. In Montenegrin, it\u2019s written as Herceg Novi<\/em>, which translates to Duke New<\/em>\u2014a name derived from Duke Stefan Vuk\u010di\u0107, under whose rule the city flourished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like the rest of Montenegro, Herceg Novi has a thriving dining scene, with countless restaurants, taverns, and caf\u00e9s. Good to know:<\/p>\nIgalo<\/strong> is a former fishing village on the northern side of Herceg Novi.
