There\u2019s only one town\u2014Victoria\u2014and its center can be explored on foot in just a couple of hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most land-based tours are scenic drives to beaches, viewpoints, and national parks in a guide\u2019s car. These are ideal if you\u2019re not renting a car yourself. On the other hand, if you do plan to rent a car on Mah\u00e9 or Praslin, you\u2019ll easily be able to explore most key spots on your own. Locals aren&#8217;t keen on haggling. If you\u2019re buying a tour \u201coff the beach,\u201d you might manage a 10% discount at best, but don\u2019t expect much more. Honestly, it\u2019s rare these days to even find tour sellers directly on the beach.
